Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Alphard Advisory Limited ("Alphard Advisory", "we", "us") collects, uses, stores and handles personal information through the website alphardadvisory.com (the "website"). If you have any questions, please contact us at info@alphardadvisory.com.
Information we collect
Information you provide
When you submit the contact form we collect the details you enter: your full name, company name, business email address, telephone number (optional), the area your enquiry relates to, and your message. If you email us directly, we receive your email address and the contents of your message.
Please do not send us sensitive personal information, customer records, identification documents or payment information through the website or by email unless we have specifically agreed a secure method with you.
Website usage statistics
We measure general website traffic using our own privacy-focused analytics, which do not use cookies. For each page viewed we record the page address, the referring website (if any), the general device type (desktop, tablet or mobile) and a pseudonymous identifier. That identifier is calculated from your IP address and browser details combined with a random value that changes every day and is deleted after two days, so it cannot be used to recognise you across days. We do not store your IP address or browser details as part of these statistics. Visitors whose browsers send a "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" signal are not counted.
Technical information
Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically processes technical information such as IP addresses in server logs to deliver the website, keep it secure and diagnose problems. These logs are kept for a limited period.
How we use your information
- to respond to your enquiry and correspond with you, including arranging a consultation;
- to assess and prepare for a potential engagement you have asked us about;
- to understand, in aggregate, how the website is used so that we can improve it;
- to keep the website secure and prevent spam and misuse; and
- to comply with legal obligations that apply to us.
Where data protection laws require a legal basis, we rely on our legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries and operating a secure website, on taking steps at your request before entering into an engagement, and on compliance with our legal obligations. We do not use your information for automated decision-making, and we do not sell it.
How enquiries are handled and stored
Contact form submissions are sent by email to our inbox. They are not stored in the website’s database. We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as necessary to respond and to manage any resulting business relationship, and then delete it unless we need to retain it for legal or record-keeping reasons. Website usage statistics are kept for up to 25 months.
Who we share information with
We share personal information only with service providers that help us operate the website and our business, and only as needed for that purpose. These include our website hosting provider, our email delivery provider (which transmits contact form messages to us) and our email service provider. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights. We do not share your information with advertisers or data brokers.
International transfers
We serve clients internationally, and our service providers may process information in countries other than the one in which you are located, including the United States. Where we transfer personal information internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected in line with this policy.
Security
The website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and access to its administration area is restricted to authorised users. While we take reasonable measures to protect personal information, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. To make a request, contact us at info@alphardadvisory.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding. You may also have the right to complain to the data protection or privacy authority where you live.
Children
This website is intended for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page, with the date it was last updated.
